A Fitting Contraption Workbench

Welcome to A Fitting Contraption, LLC

We are a veteran owned and operated, American made furnishings, lighting and fixtures company geared toward the industrial lifestyle. With an appreciation for handcrafted items over mass produced products, each contraption is designed and handmade in house. We adhere to high standards and use quality materials. If you are seeking a unique look for a room, the entire house or your business, check out our line of products. We also design custom pieces so if you have an idea in mind or just need help realizing your vision, let us make your dream a reality.

We love finding, recycling, repurposing and restoring industrial antiques because their design and craftsmanship were second to none.

Aaron

I’m a God-fearing family man who is thankful for the gifts given to me and the opportunity to be able to use them. My wife and I have been interested in the industrial, steampunk, craftsman-based lifestyle for many years and have always found it hard to find the exact style we like, so I decided to start making pieces that emulate this style.

I’ve worked in the mechanical field my whole adult life and how things work has always intrigued me. I started out by making a few items for the house. After family and friends saw the pieces they encouraged me to start a business selling to the public - I think that is how a lot of businesses get started. So, that’s what we decided to do because if you love what you do then you’ll never work a day in your life, right?

Professional Marketer by day, Aaron’s go-to- gal by night, I am the office-side of A Fitting Contraption and make sure receipts are kept and the bills get paid on time.

Passionate about office antiques like Royal typewriters and medium format film photography, I relish any opportunity to break away from the digital trappings of my daily life and capture historic architecture through the lenses of my two favorite cameras – my trusty Rolleiflex or the more simplistic Kodak Brownie Target Six-20.
